Online Games That Will Have You Hooked

We have been living in a pandemic for a very, very long time. Never in my life could I have imagined such a world. Never seeing smiles, not hugging people, all of these things have had a massive impact on people in general. I remember the first time I wrote about the pandemic, I wondered how long it would even be relevant for. I thought that in a few years, it wouldn’t be something on our minds anymore. Boy was I wrong!!

I’m not sure if you guys remember but several months ago I wrote about some online games I was loving.  9 Online Games I’m Loving

Now it’s November 20, 2021 and this is still life. We still hear the case count every single day. The vaccine didn’t end it. Not yet anyway. Sometimes living in this version of the world gets heavy. There is so much very serious stuff going on. Between climate change, natural disasters, racism and more, is there even time for happiness anymore?

The effects of the pandemic I now understand are much bigger than this. Between the economical factors, mental health, physical health, social networks and more, the effects feel never-ending.

Some symptoms to pay attention to are:

  • anything out of the ordinary
  • changes in sleep pattern
  • changes in appetite
  • feelings of anxiety, irritation, etc
  • unexplained physical problems

What can you do?

  • Talk to your doctor
  • Work on stress management skills
  • Reach out to loved ones
  • Plan happy plans so you have something to look forward to
  • Listen to your body
  • Do things you actively enjoy

Enter online games

Indulging in online games is a great way to pass time and have fun. One of my favourite gaming websites is Solitaire.Org

Why I love it

  • It’s clear and easy to understand.
  • Everything is easy to see and read.
  • The homepage has descriptions of all the popular solitaire games so you can easily choose one that sounds interesting.
  • There are A LOT of games.
  • It’s fun and fun is good!!

Benefits of having fun :

  • Reduced stress
  • Improved memory
  • Better sleep
  • Increases serotonin
  • Better ability to cope with life and unsatisfactory things
  • Improved connections with others

5 Games You Should Try

Klondike Solitaire

Klondike Solitaire is basically the standard version of the game we all know and love. There is an option at the beginning for an easy or normal game mode. A few things I noticed while playing was it has a clear time display, and an easy to see score board.

Hidden Kitchen

Hidden Kitchen is super fun. I loved this one and will definitely be playing more of it. This game had very clear instructions. It also had an easy to read time, score and level board. This game basically had a busy kitchen setting with a lot of stuff out and then you try to find specific things. Theres also hidden castle, hidden garden and hidden pirate.

Tetra Blocks

Tetra Blocks is a tetris type game. This one is neon coloured though! It’s a cool looking game.

Letter Scramble

I did not understand this one. I’m going to give it another chance though. If you like wordy games then you’d probably like it!

Crazy Eights

The classic card game!

Here’s 4 reasons you should try these:

  • They’re fun!
  • You deserve to have fun!
  • Having fun is awesome.
  • You’re worthy of doing things that are fun.

Comment below which game is your favourite and what your high score was!

Ahh I love to find hidden things!! 👀 back in the days I loved to play dinnerdash (playing server & give all customers what they want before they get mad & boot out.. while having a specific score) aswell as insaniquarium (virtual aquarium you take care of fishies that drop cash & fight aliens- goal is to buy enough egg parts to hatch it) — found the latter in the app store, was so happy!
