By now you know I love Autumn, but did you know I love poetry as well?
I actually have 2 poetry books for sale that I donate money to a local mental health initiative from. One is called Journey to be Unbroken, and the other is She (used to refer to a woman or girl). (Psst… it would make my day if you checked them out!!!)
Both of which have been a journey to write, and helped me in my healing.
Life with mental illness, as you probably know, is so very hard. There are some good times, some bad times, and then… there are just times.
Writing has always been a tool for me, in coping and managing my mental health and my mental illnesses. I am so grateful that you stop in and read.
Today I am going to share some of my favourite Autumn-ish quotes. I often use quotes as a spark of inspiration, and they bring me to a very calm and settled space.
`Autumn whispered to the wind, `I fall; but always rise again.` Angie Welland-Crosby
`Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.` Bliss
`I notice that Autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.` Friedrich Nietzsche
“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.” Chad Sugg
“He found himself wondering at times, especially in the autumn, about the wild lands, and strange visions of mountains that he had never seen came into his dreams.”J.R.R. Tolkien
“Beautiful. Autumn-raw. She must be a witch of some kind,” Velimir Khlebnikov
“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.” Henry David Thoreau
Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall. F. Scott Fitzgerald
