Celebrate with N, Life with NSmall Town Autumn Feels October 3, 2019 TweetShareSharePin44 SharesLeaves are slowly leaving their trees behind, as they make their final show to the ground.I remember being a little girl, in the city, people raked all the leaves. I never understood why.I live in a small town now, with a population of less than 4000. It`s an everybody knows everybody kind of town.I know a lot of people don`t like that, but I actually find it comforting. It feels like I belong somewhere, and like my presence has purpose. My town is small, and doesn`t have very much at first glance. It is one of those things where you have to look for a minute, and then it unfolds with beauty.Sometimes, old, creaky, broken things are actually of the most beautiful. The city nearby is growing so fast, and everything has become so modern and high-tech, it is complicated to just turn the water on in a public restroom. My town is definitely not fancy. It has a few stores on the one main road. I say one main road, because, that`s all we have.Thankfully, we do have a pharmacy, and a post-office.We have a Gym, though I have never gone.We have a beautiful dance studio that my daughter attends for ballet, and right across from it, we have a lovely little hair and spa salon that my littlest LOVES to go to.In the median of our one main road, it is lined with trees and flowers that the town manually goes out to water. If you have ever watched Gilmore Girls, then you can understand my town.My town feels like Stars Hallow. We have frequent town events that are put on by amazing volunteers, along with our little parades that bring smiles to everyone. (Yes, we even have a Santa Claus.)There is a grocery store, however I do try to avoid it, as it is very expensive. My town also has it`s branch of Taekwondo training, which I personally just started! The best part, is the people. This town has the best people. People with amazing spirit and big hearts.I have moved around a lot since I became an adult, but I really have to say, I won`t be leaving this town. So, as the leaves change colours, and the flowers start to wilt, I cant help but be excited. Christmas in my town is amazing and festive! Are you a small town or big city person? And I have always wanted to live in a town like Stars Hallow. Especially in the fall and winter. Julie October 3, 2019 at 8:21 pm ReplyI grew up in a city, and always dreamt of living in a small town. Not sure if it’s possible, since I can drive. But your post reignited some of that old flame! 🙂 Your post is very beautifully written. Thank you for sharing. Ashley October 3, 2019 at 9:53 am ReplyI wasn’t a fan of the small town I grew up in, and I’ve lived in a city for all of my adult life. I can see moving to somewhere smaller later on in life, but there’s something appealing for me about the anonymity of city living.Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
